Shovel Grade

Machine Control

Dig to Design with Ease

Carlson Shovel Grade is a machine control solution for excavators and shovels that enables operators to dig precisely to design using real-time positioning and visual guidance. The system runs on a ruggedized, Windows-based onboard tablet (MC8 or MC10), providing clear insight into cut and fill conditions directly from the cab.

Operators can view real-time cut and fill color maps, build simple or complex pads and slopes in the field, and work confidently against design surfaces or block models. With intuitive controls and a consistent Carlson interface, Shovel Grade helps improve accuracy, reduce survey dependency, and streamline excavation workflows.

Designed for both standalone and fleet environments, Carlson Shovel Grade supports scalable operations while delivering precise control across the entire project.
